Quickstart
The five onboarding decisions that turn a connected ERP account into a running archive.
Onboarding walks through five decisions in order. Each one is a step in the wizard, and the wizard can be reopened later. Finishing it again just re-saves the choices, it does not re-archive anything.
1. Storage
Where the archive is kept. Archived copies have to be written somewhere. There is a hosted default, and you can connect S3-compatible targets of your own, each pinned to a region.
Each target reports how it stores what it receives, for example every version kept, a folder per file, so the behaviour is visible before you commit to it.
2. ERP connection
Where the files come from. Each connection is one authorized link to one ERP account, and each reports when it was last scanned.
Connections do not all behave the same way, and the difference matters for what history you end up with:

| No history kept | No version history is retained for this connection. |
A connection marked No history kept still archives, but there will be no earlier versions to read back for it. If reading history back is the reason you are here, confirm this marker per connection.
3. Sync modes
What gets archived, per pair. A sync mode is decided for each pairing of a storage target with an ERP connection, which is why this step has more decisions in it than the others.
Every pair needs an answer. Until all of them are decided, the wizard reports that sync modes are unfinished, even when the rest of onboarding is complete.
4. Retention
How long history is kept. Record history and the events behind it are kept separately, so each one is its own answer. This step sets the starting point; both can be changed later in Settings.
